And erase the at3 files if you already have the .wav ones. Also ensure the option "Extract media files to TMP folder" under MEDIA tab is disabled.

Thank's, but I've tried that. It does nothing. Here's some detailed info:

I'm currently "Plate Interior - Secret Facility", where Sephiroth has told about Genesis's wound that Hollander tried to treat. After the cutscene. The audio files that Windows version creates at this point are called:

Atrac-000FFFA4-0956B740.wav
Atrac-000FFFA4-0956B740.oma

The audio file that Linux version creates is called:

Atrac-000FFFA4-8869EFEE.at3

I've tried to:
- remove the at3 file and replace it with wav and oma file
- keep the at3 file and just add the wav and oma
- remove the at3 file and replace it with just the wav file
- change the filename of wav file
- keep the original filename of wav file
- enable/disable Extract media files to tmp folder
- enable/disable Decode audio files with SonicStage (although I don't have SonicStage on Ubuntu)

Unfortunately none of these works.

have you tried renaming the .wav files to .at3.decoded ?, I'm not sure if this method still works but it might Smile

Wow, it actually works. Thank you very much. And it even runs smoothy (I was a bit worried that working music could kill the smoothines of linux version, but apparently it doesn't).

Now all I have to do is to complete everything in Windows version to get all the audio files. Then I can finally play my favourite PSP game with my favourite operating system without any problems.

Uh for some reason no matter what settings I choose it looks like Zack is sunbathing or something. He's all really bright and stuff

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - hawky89 - 12-14-2012

So I'm new to using the psp emulator, but CC has been working well with one problem, whenever I'm in a fight with a summon (Ifrit and Bahamut so far), whenever they use their abilities (hellfire, megaflare), it starts the animation, but then gets stuck right before the 'movie' part loads, i.e. ifrit gets stuck looking in the air with his arms out, and bahamut i get stuck looking the the dark clouds circling. The game doesn't actually freeze, just doesn't load the animations. I've tried a couple of recent versions and all have the same problem. Any idea how to fix this, or skip the cutscene part of the moves?

Tested under r2929
I don't see any issue with the summon movies, make sure you have the media engine enabled.

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - hawky89 - 12-17-2012

tried again to fight bahamut with the new version r2929, same problem. Yep, I have media engine enabled. I also have all the options set exactly the same as in the first post. I have tried with the option 'extract media to tmp folder' both on and off, not sure if that would matter. When I my roulette lands on Ifrit, there is no problem with the movie.

I'm using an Intel laptop, if that matters, but I think that would at most affect how fast or slow it runs, not if movies run or not. But I'm not an expert, so if you think it would help I could post my laptop specs.

Any other ideas on what the issue could be? I would really like to be able to play this game, but can't afford to buy a psp...
Thanks in advance. =)

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - shakirmole - 01-06-2013

Yup am getting freeze just after say Bahamut is select and Megaflare lvl1 appears.
I'll try getting a log next time

EDIT: On second try it worked and it seems its an audio decoding problem
