RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - Anubis230 - 02-04-2011

hi
I have a problem with saveing the game. I have the Jpscp v0.6 1884 version.
When I try to save the game and I select one of the free slots (in the Savedata List there is no Icon and in Title is Not present ) , the game freeze, i canĀ“t do anything more. I can chose some options and other stuff, but the game stops.
Does it go away if I get a updated version of Jpscp ?
Can someone help me?

Anubis230

I fixed whatever issue I had. Fiddles with the options persistently until somehow It all worked just fine for no reason. Framerate is slow, but its a java based emulator on a machine thats bad with java. lol

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - Dcs - 02-08-2011

I'm getting an OutOfMemory error... watching in task manager, the memory continually builds up after I start the game and never decreases until it runs out and locks up.

PC Setup:
Pentium 4 3.0ghz
ATI Radeon 4850 HD 512MB
4GB DDR2
Windows 7, UAC disabled
32bit Java, 32 bit JPCSP

JPCSP Launcher Settings
XMX size: 1024
XSS Size: 64
XMS Size: 128
Priority: High
UseConcMarkSweepGC, UseParNewGC
I have also tried without the GC options.

JPCSP settings
Use Vertex Cache
Ignore invalid memory access
Use media engine
Decode audio files with sonicstage

I have also tried without ignore invalid memory access and vertex cache. Seem to get the same error. Any ideas?

Isn't vertex cache the source of alot of out of memory problems? Try it again without vertex cache.

Edit: I does that for me too but doesn't seem to affect gameplay besides the occasional freeze for a few seconds.

thats just how java works if the java -xmx value is 1024 it should allocate 1gig of ram (for java to use), when all the ram gets used up it causes a out of memory error, usually un-checking vertex cache will fix the out of memory errors for this game. (but it does slow the game speed down somewhat), don't forget you have to restart the emulator each time you change these settings.

IT DOES??? Performance wise there's no difference or it slows it down even more for my pc.

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - hyakki - 02-09-2011

yea in my case i can tell a noticeable difference when its enabled., more smooth response a few extra fps, i think vertex cache depends on the video card though....so maybe it has a negative effect on older or ati video cards, if it didn't get the out of memory errors so often i would always use it, huge increases in games like 3rd birthday, hexy force, god of war, crisis core..etc

it does have a negative impact on dissida final fantasy though. (the board piece section has bad slowdowns from it, in battle it gets speedups though)

I finished the game with the emulator jpcsp-1975, a tip for those who do not know, download the full game, NOT RIP, to avoid crashing into the game, usually in the videos.
The bad thing is that I can not use the shaders option, so the images are very bright.

Buy the game and you'll have the full game, the kind of downloading you said is illegal.
