How to decrypt: Visual Guide - LeaT - 11-20-2011 As per request. Take notice that only later revisions have the Crypto option. If you want to make sure your version has it, please download the latest version from http://buildbot.orphis.net/jpcsp/ Should be noted that this guide assumes you are already somewhat familiar with the JPCSP interface, and that you play encrypted games you have already not decrypted yourself. This method will save you a lot of pain and annoyance having to manually decrypt encrypted games. 1. First, locate your main JPCSP folder and start JPCSP: 2. Then go to Options menu and locate Configurations: 3. Under Configurations, locate Crypto: 4. Check "Extract decrypted EBOOT.BIN to TMP folder". Load any encrypted game you desire from the UMD browser, such as Dissidia and let JPCSP decrypt the game. JPCSP might freeze a bit, depending on how powerful your CPU is. The slower the computer, the longer decryption takes. 5. After this is done, locate your tmp folder in the main JPCSP folder: 6. In the tmp folder, there should now be a new folder called EBOOT, and in that EBOOT folder there is a file called EBOOT.BIN: 7. Rename this file to the version of game you just decrypted, for example ULUS10437 for the US version of Dissidia. If you for some reason don't know the version name of your game, you can always check it under the UMD browser where the version name is located under the game name. 8. Move this file to the main folder of JPCSP: Instead of decrypting the game each time, JPCSP will now be able to read this file when loading the game and no decryption is needed. RE: How to DLC: Visual Guide - icecoffemix - 11-20-2011 Wait, what do you think DLC is? RE: How to DLC: Visual Guide - LeaT - 11-20-2011 Well ok, maybe the name of the thread isn't the best. Just going under that most people refer to the encryption and decryption of PSP games with a more general "DLC". Maybe I should rename it to decryption. Can't rename it now though, so a staff has to do it. Didn't think it would be that unclear The content of the thread should be clear, anyway. You rename it by clicking edit on the first post and changing post subject. RE: How to DLC: Visual Guide - beanclr - 11-20-2011 When have anyone here ever said that DLC should for Decrypting? I've never seen that anywhere. RE: How to DLC: Visual Guide - icecoffemix - 11-20-2011 Nevertheless, this guide is useful for some games, I never knew we can do this. Just the title is misleading for most people. I changed the topic of the thread now. EDIT Updated introduction text a bit. RE: How to decrypt: Visual Guide - AlexBaron - 11-21-2011 good guide.. although i tried and turned up nothing happened and still no "DLC 1" icon appeared in duodecim.. yet appreciated..maybe will have to just wait the coder work on them..
