No problem, hopefully somebody alse who played/plays this game can comment ( like hyakki for example )
If nobody has gotten as far as you, then it probably means game is not playble yet.
There is 35 pages on this thread, cant belive nobody has gotten as far as you or finished the game.
Maybe somehow something is wrong with your saves,if other people has gotten past this point.
But emu developer gid15 is always willing to help and look into problems Smile

Oh it's definitely playable, hyakki posted screenshots of the Underworld on page 34, the place directly after Tower of Zot. Hopefully he, or anyone!, has some post Zot saves lying around handy. It sucks getting into a game and then having it all go bad, lol! I'd be playing it on my PSP (and RemoteJoy <3) but I gave it to my elder bro for his birthday Big Grin

Well then, something is probably wrong with your saves, somehow they got corrupted or something...

check ignore invalid memory access sometimes (though rarely) the movies can trigger an invalid memory error, usually ticking that will help.

I tried his save, there are never ending memory errors ( millions of them if game was left running )
Checking ignore invalid memory access will continue the music playing but video will remain frozen, and memory errors constantly written in the log file.
If you got past this spot fine, something is probably wrong with his saves

Yeah, I tried what digiadventures said and got the same results; a log spam of error messages. My save looks truly broken so I'd be extremely appreciative if anyone had any Zot saves, either in or just after, it would help a lot and I wouldn't lose so much progress Smile

I just wanted to chime in and say that FFIV is now working very, very well with the latest releases. I've been following the problem since it occurred some time in February/March and am ecstatic that the issues with text/slowness/bad graphics are fixed.

If you are running an AMD card, you should absolutely update your drivers to the latest version (12.10). I was getting some very strange effects with my HD 7850 and updating solved that.

I did notice a speed decrease with these recent changes. I was able to run the game at 60FPS most of the time (with the exception of the boss shatter and other spell effects) using my i5-3570k. Now it hovers between 45 and 50FPS during the game's airship intro.

JPCSP r2828
Win7 x64
Java 6u37
AMD HD7850
i5-3570k

Job well done, devs! I am very appreciative for your efforts!
