RE: JPCSP Launcher [v1.8.0.4] - hollowfeel - 02-10-2013 when memolyleak will fix RE: JPCSP Launcher [v1.8.0.4] - Abelus - 02-11-2013 Why is jpcsp constantly increasing RAM size usage while playing (java process)? For example, when the game is started, ram usage is 700mb, after about an hour it increases to 1,2 gb. Can this be prevented? RE: JPCSP Launcher [v1.8.0.4] - hyakki - 02-11-2013 That's not really related to the launcher, however Java is a virtual machine, so it pre allocates the resources it needs in memory this is usually determined by the -xmx size setting (the default value jpcsp sets is 1024mb so that would equal 1~ gig of memory) you can edit the xmx value in the bat file or the launcher to a lower value like 512 or 768 but it could trigger some out of memory errors in some games. RE: JPCSP Launcher [v1.8.0.4] - Darkearth10 - 02-18-2013 Is it normal to be getting a malicious virus warning when trying to download this? If you downloaded it from here it should be safe, I don't release the launcher anywhere else, so it's probably a false positive, usually cheap off brand (acting like they catch more then the big brands) or overly protective av give these false detections http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antivirus_software#Problems_caused_by_false_positives if the error message is from the program itself when you try to run it, then something tried to modify the exe and it failed the internal hash checks, that could mean a number of things like a hard drive that's corrupting files, a virus already present in your system that modifies exe programs, bad ram. You need to search for things on your own. Look for -XX:MaxPermSize in the Advanced Java section of the JPCSP Launcher. |
