Sound produced between r1850 and r1948

I just notice when i am playing older revisions when i try playing disgaea 2 in
r1850 and r1948 based on what i hear sounds r1850 produce better sounds than r1948 i try also other games like persona 3 i test it on main menu i use up and down keys to hear the sounds and and r1850 produce better again do any one also experience this
