JPCSP Launcher [v1.8.0.4]
V1.7.0.9 [10-1-2012]
-Minor bug fix for the check for update feature, again extra space prevented returning the correct revision to check against.
-Added new options to the Jpcsp settings page, Audio and Crypto section.
-Added a new option to custom path's to allow an 'Assistant tool' (such as the monoat3 program), this is very basic and will just start the program when clicking run.
(I don't currently check for previous running applications)
-Changed the custom path boxes to be user editable, so you don't always need to use the browse button to input the path / program.
-Added CPU name to the CPU Information.
-Clicking 'Enable' for the logger automatically will now set level to INFO instead of OFF.
-Dialog position updates, some text corrections.

Hi.

I tried to play Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, but the emulator crashes during the loading window after Snake's training.

I also followed the guide exclusively for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker posted by jeremymd, but I don't know what else to do.
How to fix this crash?
Please help Sad

Not really related to the launcher.....
The game thread is here --> Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - ULUS10509

Off-Topic:
It looks like the media engine is crashing @ avcodec-52.dll try to disable the media engine and try again..or try the 32bit jpcsp build since it uses another xuggler version.
besides for that make sure all your visual c++ run-times are up to date (as-well as drivers and windows updates) and you are using official Jpcsp builds off the buildbot found here --> http://buildbot.orphis.net/jpcsp/
(btw I just tested the video after the training and it works ok here (no crash))

Hi, I'm using r2774 with 1.7.0.9 Launcher, on Windows 7 64-bit, running in Administrator mode, only 1 copy of JPCSP is open... and it just won't save my profiles in the advanced JPCSP Settings tab.

I'm trying to play Crisis Core, which is ULUS10336. I try to set the right settings, I press Save and then if I go back into the Adv Settings tab, it's all back to default (all unchecked).

I try to create a profile and save it, and it creates ULUS10336.properties. Then I try loading the game and it still doesn't check any box inside the emulator. I go back to the launcher and it's all back to default.

I don't understand why it's not working. What am I doing wrong? The only way to get the settings to stick is to put them directly into the emulator, which kind of defeats the purpose of using this for me.

Could I get some help? Please and thanks! I've been trying so long to figure this out and I'm sure the answer is super obvious..

Jpcsp will auto detect the profiles and use them (the settings page in jpcsp should be greyed out when the game is running off a profile, otherwise it will use the default settings)
So basically Jpcsp has two settings one global (the one you will see in the launcher and jpcsp all the time, and a profile for the game, the only way to tell its using a profile is if the configuration page is all disabled in jpcsp.)

You can re-load a previous profile back in the launcher by selecting it in the pull-down at the bottom right, then click Load, re-make any changes you need then re-save the profile or the settings will be lost.

example of jpcsp running on a game profile

btw this feature is still experimental in both the launcher and i'm sure jpcsp Smile

Not really I just commented some code out and fixed a file check (took about 5 minutes)
I just wanted to get it ready incase txt format logs are enabled default, so the launcher doesn't switch it back to html (right now it still works with both formats, I just let jpcsp decide on the format now, rather then select it under the launcher.)
