How to improve the FPS?

I tried to play Hatsune Miku - Project DIVA and turn out really depressing. The game run VERY (I mean VERY), yes, VERY slow. Is there is any way to improve it?

btw I'm using Windows 7 64 bit
athlon x4 945 .. 3.0 Ghz
ati readeon 6790
4 GB DDR3

Diva 1 run bad on JPCSP, play 2nd and Extend instead. See the specific game thread for setting.

Thank you very much, that very helpful. And just asking, why Diva 1 run bad in JPSP while Diva 2nd run normally? I just see some video tutorial of it and currently downloading the ISO.
