I'm not to familiar with mac, does the 'build bot' builds come with a script to run jpcsp? if not it shouldn't be much different to make then a linux bash script.

Hi, new here...I've place the 'launcher' as per the insturctions on the first page and double clicking it will cause the launcher crash instantly. A windows popup with message of the launcher encounters an error and needs to shut down. I've tried multiple versions and the problem is still there...Was wondering what went wrong. By the way, I'm using Windows XP and also, I've read through the forum for other possible solutions (like deleting JPCSPlauncher.ini; but this file didn't exists in the first place) and nothing seems to be working...

Please help

I have the exact same problem on Win XP SP3 32bit. It doesn't matter where the application is, I get the same error. Interestingly, though, when I run the launcher from the jpcsp directory, the error is instant, but when I run it from any other directory, it takes a few seconds before popping up.

I have tried all accessible versions of the launcher and several versions of jpcsp, in the range of r1799 to r1961. Both my firewall (Comodo 5) and my AV (Avast!) are disabled. My Java ver is build 1.6.0_23-b05. I can run jpcsp from the bat file. The error I get is always the same between versions, the only difference being the offset:

Faulting application jpcsp.exe, version 1.4.0.4, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00e00308.

Faulting application jpcsp.exe, version 1.4.0.3, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00e0030f.

Faulting application jpcsp.exe, version 1.4.0.1, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00e00306.

Faulting application jpcsp.exe, version 1.3.0.9, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00e00309.

I think I've mentioned everything relevant, let me know if you need anything else.

Do you run any software that modifies themes or buttons? I'm thinking it could be something like that causing the crash, I tested on my own windows xp professional sp3 32bit and it runs fine, so I'm thinking its some other common software that is trying to modify the window / process and the debug protection catches it, I used to use avast so I don't think that's causing it.

I'll be out of town for a few days so I can't try to fix it until I get back (unless I have time to remote in).

other then that make sure all your system runtimes are up to date (Visual C++, VB ..etc), not having these up to date is another common cause for application errors.

I don't use any themes or anything of the sort. All my runtime libraries appear to be up to date. I can't think of anything else that could be interfering.
