JPCSP Launcher [v1.8.0.4]
Hello? can anyone answer this post?

No such magical setting, your pc is just too weak, deal with it.

to put it more clear: this emulator is not made for mobile PCs - most games barely run smoothly at highend desktop pcs (at this point)

This is simply wrong, there are many mobile pc (aka Notebook) more than capable playing with JPCSP.

This is simply wrong, there are many mobile pc (aka Notebook) more than capable playing with JPCSP.
If mobile means a netbook with poor system specs, yes, you can but it's not really "playable", but if mobile also includes very powerful gaming laptops then no, the statement is wrong.

It obviously has little to do with the type of computer as much as it has to do with the hardware installed. You can have a weak ATI Celeron CPU in your stationary meant for work only and it won't run JPCSP well either.

with a single game or with the majority of (playable) games? and yea, i wasnt talking about gaming laptops, which this system obviously is not

The recommended system specs for JPCSP are 3.0 dualcore CPU or equivalent, 2 GB RAM and a Geforce 6600GT or equivalent. This means you will be able to play and you may get full speed with some games, but far from everyone. It varies highly between games and computer specs.

-Added option to Prevent System Standby while Jpcsp is in the running state (since when using a gamepad the monitor would often go into sleep/PM mode).
[This option might only work for vista and 7, needs testing on other os]
-Improved CPU instruction detection , it should now detect AVX, MMX, and HT

Is it still a problem with Jpcsp standalone? Back in r2085, I did add some code to prevent the screensaver to start by simulating a mouse move.

Jpcsp can suppress the screensaver fine, but if you have power management set for your monitor (windows defaults to 15 min), and you only use a GamePad under Jpcsp, windows for some reason thinks the computer is idle (as long as you don't touch mouse or keyboard in this time frame) the monitor will switch over to standby mode Smile.

I also tried the same method at first to simulate a mouse move, but it didn't work after 15 minutes idle monitor went to sleep, so I ended up using SetThreadExecutionState to remind windows to keep the display on (only if the option is enabled and Jpcsp is running), right now it's a temporary solution/workaround in-case anyone else has the same problem.
