The newest version seems to help a bit as I can get to the gate you have to blow up. I turned off all the stuff for video like shader, etc. It helps to look up at the sky or down at the ground when far off distances are in front as it allows the FPS to stay respectable. This was running in the small default window, at my native 1920x1080 resolution. Lower res @ 1280 didn't make any difference in FPS. I'm guessing some performance upgrades are needed for Jpcsp's code to get it more efficient in the larger games. I'm doubting a larger processor will help as I'm only using 50% CPU usage under heavy scenes and RAM is around 45% on the x32 version. A cheap fix would be to allow draw distance to be altered to not appear so far off, as this would increase FPS dramatically if it wasn't trying to render fine detail so far off. Sound was about 80% there with Sonic Stage 4.3. Most of the cut scenes were perfect with a slight clipping or click every so often, and the beach would go silent in some areas, kinda like dead zones for cell phone signals.
All in all this is still a wonderful emulator in it's teething stages. Will definitely be the premiere PSP emulator until Pcsp is finalized. Keep it up guys!! Wonder if any of the hard work can be applied to the Sony Vita? :O
