yep, goes past the save creation. it can now create and load savefiles, although i got a message about the creation date not matching the psp.
after it goes past the save/load messages though, it's all black, but it shows up if i select "GE graphics only". sometimes it freezes on the starting movie, but if it doesn't (if it skips the movies), i can get to the menu.
extras menu allowed to me to unlock some stuff by using a ps3 savefile from another game, so this part sorta works. i can't seem to use any passwords though.
the game seems to get in game just fine, though once in there i'm missing a hud. after my round's over, the command view is also blank other than having some text, which also happens to every menu from then on (same thing as if i ran without the "ge graphics only" option). if the window's resized, the layer with hud and stuff doesn't resize.
eventually the game crashed.
log+profiler attached, for when it stops at the video. at the end when it stopped i switched from info to all mode, since it finally doesn't freeze the emulator for me.
i also encountered some sort of umd browser-related crash once, so the crash log's also added.
