that was the case over a year ago, when jpcsp was still compiled under java 6, and 7 was in beta. by now it doesn't matter anymore.

also the game doesn't have voice during gameplay, audio and sounds are fine with sonicstage installed but there are no voices

did you also install atrac3plus2wav? it's needed for many voices and some sound effects in many games.

The problem with the voices of the codec during the game, is that you have to install them to hear, are like 800mb, before starting the game first asks you install, usually do not read that, in the game menu go to the option to install data, read and install the 800mb pack and you will have the voices of the codec during the game plays have installed atrac3plus2wav

all you need to do is start the sound forge installer until it extracts all the files for installation, grab the dll file from there then stop the installer. everything's in the "jpcsp for dummies" topic under "jpcsp and sound".

you don't need any 800 mb sized codecs. (is there even such a thing as a huge 800 mb mega-pack of codecs?)

the pack of sounds for the codec is the game itself MGS PW, you have to install them so that the voices of the codec, you decide whether to install them or not, when playing for the first time, the game gives you the option to one of installing this pack or not, you have to read, and that is for, if you install the game you loaded pack faster per instructions, read the instructions and you will see, for this go to the game menu and then the option to be installing data.

oh. that doesn't sound like a codec pack though, more like a compressed voice pack which you have to install, then decompress to use. maybe there's so much voices it couldn't fit on the umd, so they went with something like that.

in the new builds(still happening in r3252) it crashes once you would start playing

I don't know since when, but obviously after 3146(as guy before me said) something was changed for the worse
