Thank you for your fast update.
I've found that while the fix allowed me to enter that map without it crashing through a save obtained with cheats, backtracking after entering that map resulted in a crash. Loading another save and attempting to progress forward resulted in an earlier crash than experienced before. Completion of that story section is now possible though, but upon re-entry into that dungeon, it appears backtracking floors (in particular backtracking from the floor that was causing the original crashing) causes the error in the log3270.rar file. Still present is the random map crashing that occurs after entering a map where monsters spawn in the log3270(2).rar file.
I'm still getting the error in Mines Floor 3 when trying to progress. Do I need to use r3270 64 bit? Right now I'm using 3301 64 bit and it's crashing on that floor whenever I try to enter.
Edit: I /facepalmed hard.... -_- All you have to do to fix any crashing is set it to 50% clock speed. .-.

Ok just to update, the game is only playable up to a certain point. After that, you cannot access the next part of the map no matter what settings or version you're using. During the main quest with Keel and Rudith, you go to Veratropa. After releasing both bridges on the first map with spawns, the next map has a save point and right after is the next part of the map. That is where the game crashes with java error "EventDispatchThread" and "ArrayIndexOutofBoundsException"
For anyone who has made it past this, what settings did you use? I've tried 7 different revisions and every possible setting and nothing works.
