Migration of sceAtrac3plus to new java decoders
#1
Hi,

as the new java decoders are performing quite well, I've decided with r3630 to migrate the "big" sceAtrac3plus module to use the java decoders. Xuggler is no longer used by this module.

As sceAtrac3plus is the most common module used by applications to produce music, this change could have a huge impact and break a lot of applications. Please report in this thread any regression issues related to r3630...

Thank you for your support in testing Smile

EDIT: first bug fix in r3630.

I have mentioned an audio problem that has occurred with Eiyuu Densetsu Sora no Kiseki FC Kai HD when using r3630: http://www.emunewz.net/forum/showthread....#pid214838
Both options "Enable Atrac3+ decoding (experimental, requires Media Engine)" and "Decode audio files with SonicStage (must be installed separately and requires Media Engine)" are activated when I was testing this game.

Thank you!

For your information: the options "Enable Atrac3+ decoding" and "Decode audio files with SonicStage" will completely disappear when I have completed the migration of the audio decoding from the MPEG videos.

More progress: sceMpeg and scePsmfPlayer (video play) are now also migrated in r3635. Again, this change could impact a lot of applications and cause regression issues...

Any support in testing would be much appreciated Smile

AAAAAWWWWWEEEEEESSSSOOOOOMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awesome gid... I am just speechless. I have the intro of FFCC running in the background looping for almost an hour now. With rev 3637 and I didn't even set any audio settings. I only ticked the external software renderer and the thing spits out the fmv soundtrack ever since Smile

THANK YOU!

Thank you!

The main work was done by Maxim in ffmpeg, I just did the last 1% to have it in Jpcsp as well. Looking backwards, I should have done this port earlier... I have actually spent more time in tweaking the code to workaround some Xuggler limitations than porting the decoders Wink
