Mostly black screen
#1
Okay, took the newest version of today (as well as the version on 6/30), did the installs of everything and it's a black screen. Even saw some YT videos and I have black screen. Not that it's important but in this case I was trying to run Scott Pilgrim and only see the one logo, with sounds then everything else is black screen.

To note, I'm running this on my W7 laptop, and when I copied the exact folder onto a W10 computer it all works just fine. So....... I'm at a loss.

Please zip RPCS3.log and upload it as an attachment so we can see what's wrong.

Do note that nearly all YouTube tutorials out there misleading, always prefer the Quickstart guide on the website.

What's the hardware on your laptop? Do you have latest video drivers on it?
Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X, Radeon RX 6800 XT, 2x8G 3600MHz, Manjaro Linux
Laptop: Intel i7 6700HQ, Intel HD 530, 2x8G 2133MHz, Manjaro Linux
Old Desktop: FX-8350, R9 280X, 2x4G 1600MHz, Manjaro Linux

First, I know I'm probably doing the log file wrong, so feel free to smack my fingers on that. That being said, my laptop has a GeForce 630m graphics card with an i5 processor and W7. I've got a handful of emulators and haven't had any issues like this with them, so I'm completely lost here.

Wait, I believe I've found the log. As for my laptop...

Windows 7 (64-bit)
i5 processor (3rd gen)
GeForce 630M graphics
8gb Ram

Rolling back to my comment about YT, that was for comparing the settings to other people that had their copy of the game running. I did the firmware install, PKG install of the game, the mentioned dl's according to the startup instructions and so on.

ps2
Hi I'm new to this forum as well as to this software that i am using RPCS3, i followed the instructions to the T. Then i used the data from a game that i already bought ninja gaiden sigma 2 everything is setup properly and i still can't play a game when i boot the game my system and drives meet the requirements to run this software as well as the games their is no overclocking the menu to rpcs3 pull up but you still can't load a game when i it says not responding i then went to the folder to load the .bin file of the game white screen and then not responding but it works for everyone else on youtube. Huh I repeat this is not a download just a data copy of the game i bought just to test the software. I just want to take my games with me everywhere i go that is the reason i am trying this on my laptop and it is compatible with the software.

Check the compatibility List first
https://rpcs3.net/compatibility?g=ninja+gaiden

And read how to report issues and ask for support

Please read the thread I sent above on how to actually report issues. I removed the console output, attach a proper compressed RPCS3.log file.

Anyways, before that, make sure your laptop meets the requirements listed on the website. It seems that that is not the case, as your GPU doesn't seem to support OpenGL 4.3.

About that post normally i would get an extra white screen but now the program just freezes. I am leaving it running to see what else it do but if i touch it with the mouse pad it will freeze that is an excellent answer but i am thinking that is a possible fix but at the same time it acts as if their is an update needed because now it is loading a normal dialog box it's looking GOOD i will inform you later on the situation.

I have removed the copy paste from the post above. Please read what I just replied beforehand.

If your GPU doesn't support OpenGL 4.3, RPCS3 won't work.
