RE: VALKYRIE PROFILE -LENNETH- ULUS10107 - hyakki - 04-06-2011

great r2055 fixed the save freeze-up issue (now I can skip most of the intro to test further into the game)
the attached save is about midway in the game intro

now after the second battle (screenshot),

it crashes with invalid memory address, i think this is when it goes to the world map.

re-test since its been awhile.
invalid memory error after completing this battle., movies still don't work (black screen) but you can still hear the audio for them...

RE: VALKYRIE PROFILE -LENNETH- ULUS10107 - omidus - 01-04-2012

can't even start the game. getting 2032[user_main]Error hle.loFileMgrForUser - hleloOpen - error opening umd media: Exception while uncompressing sector form xxxx file.

does that mean the image file is bad?

most likely, I re-tested this game in 2439 and it still starts up, it still suffers from the same old problems though (no video, crash when going to world map)

gotcha thanks hyakki!

RE: VALKYRIE PROFILE -LENNETH- ULUS10107 - maplekhoa - 01-06-2012

@hyakki! : Is the game still half playable?

RE: VALKYRIE PROFILE -LENNETH- ULUS10107 - hyakki - 01-06-2012

yeah I usually just test from the first save point since going from the intro to second boss fight would take over an hour, it still gets invalid memory crashes after you beat the second monster (screenshot a few posts up), besides for that point its half playable you can move the character, fight one boss ..etc, some other problems include voices not playing in some parts, movies display black screen (but audio plays), game menu is often displayed wrong size or colors.

Is there any way to remove the black screen flashing?
At the beginning of the game, we can use the menu and even view the intro video, but is a black screen blinking disturbing the emulation. Has anyone found a fix for this?

My specs:

Athlon II x4 645
4Gb Ram
9800GT

Is there a problem with my configuration? I'm already selected the GE's options in the video menu.

Thx.

RE: VALKYRIE PROFILE -LENNETH- ULUS10107 - serio - 03-05-2012

'only ge graphics' is what usually causes the blinking.

Hum, I understand, have disabled the options here and the game was 25 ~ 30fps. Better hope he gets fully playable and then i think to upgrade my computer so I can enjoy the game.

Thx
