kinda off-topic but if you enable 'file IO logging' sometimes it can improve speed while logging.
   

But yea i'm for the idea to switch off output when needed, maybe like an on | off check-box in the logger window to suppress the window output while still logging to file would be neat.

can the generated log.txt be saved as utf-8, so that viewing of non-ansi characters would be possible? (including converting them into utf if they're not) at least if the log uses non-standard symbols, which can't be viewed in some editors.

With standard LogSettings.xml config, log games at Debug level is quite hard cause game is so so so slow that won't start. If replaced by this config game at leats can go in game:

Maybe is better don't show any info on the logger windows when it is working.
