I was wondering since this is a ps3 emulation im suspecting its like pcsx2 the ps2 emulator so what kind of game files does the emulator take?

The emulator is able to run .elf/.self files.

It will accept .PKG files though.

Well, it really doesn't "run" .pkg files, just unpacks them.
