Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable - ULUS10512
Hi, I'm new to this whole JPCSP thing and if I was wondering if I could get some help. I'm currently playing Persona 3 Portable but It's ridiculously slow when it comes to the 3d gameplay (usually 5-6 FPS), 2d animations are usually fine but those are usually 10-15 FPS. And I know it's not my computer since I have a HP 2.00ghz dual processor RAM. I've tried to download nearly every speed boost software there is but still no improvement. So I was thinking it was the JPCSP ever since I saw a video of this:Persona 3 Gameplay . I'm using the latest JPCSP so I'm really confused. Does anyone know what the problem could be, because I've seen videos of people using 60 FPS on lower versions then mine.

Sorry, but I think it IS your computer that is the problem. It most likely only has onboard graphics. Is it a laptop? You should tell us the exact model and specs so we can tell you for sure that your computer is too slow for JPCSP. Oh, and those people who made those videos and getting 60 FPS definitely aren't playing the game on underpowered HP 2.0GHz dual processor computers. Smile

It meant on lesser versions of JPCSP, but nice burn anyway.

It a HP G72 NoteBook PC, Window 7 Home Premium, P6100 Intel Pentium 2.00GHz Dual Processor, 64 Bit Operating System.

And you spoke of Onboard Graphics, is it possibleto change that or am I just screwed?

Thank for the help btw.

Anyone here can point to me to a thread that explains how to use or setup Sonic Stage? I sometimes get weird sounds from the game like a sudden static sound. It happens a lot in Valkyria Profile 2.

i'm using the 2298 build
after i run the iso, there is 1fps and a black screen only
why is that???

EDIT:without turning any option on the game actually runs, but when i use any of the option, the game doesnt. why is this??
EDIT2: using media engine works, those that don't work(as in recommended setting in page 1) is those under graphic tab,the fps would drop to 1 and nothing but black screen if i turned them on(except vertex chace)

very strange , well, try to use my configuration (enable saving GE screen to Texture instead of memory; this one give me about a 25+ fps)
if that don't work, try downloading a new java runtime preferably the standalone version
try downloading new drivers for you vga card
you use 32 or 64 bits jpcsp? i have a 64 bits pc but it run better the 32 bits
you can view the first opening video? if not try downloading "sonic stage"
try using "advanced system care" to run a maintenance to your pc

p.s: sorry for my English
