Is it just me, or this doesn't work anymore in recent versions of RPCS3?

It makes a big difference in the June builds I tried, but with the latest ones I get the same CPU usage with or without it, and my FPS are significantly lower too.

GeForce GT 720M could be Fermi based. No Vulkan support there. If you are using LLVM this is as fast as it will go.
Asus N55SF, i7-2670QM (~2,8 ghz under typical load), GeForce GT 555M (only OpenGL)

That would explain it. Out of curiosity though, I am finding that certain stages have a very big fps difference than others. Like in the Demon Dojo,I am getting a decent fps of 50, very much playable. On the other hand, in stages like the Castle Hallways, it drops to about 5 fps...is it only this game or is it an issue which the emulator will address at some later version?

Yeah the game is just weird like that. The performance delta is much better on Vulkan. But it's 5 fps for me too sometimes on OpenGL.

I noticed the performance get's really terrible if i patch the game to 1.40 for some reason, 1.30 works fine and is mostly fullspeed i'm using the latest build with the speed patch.

is this thread solely about the Chinese copy of the game?

because I see this thread listed not as playable?
http://www.emunewz.net/forum/showthread....Disgaea+D2

I don't know how anyone got the chinese version of the game, at least people on english speaking forums? the only copy I myself have ever seen is the USA one....

Would these steps/tips/and tricks work a copy of the USA game?

weirdly the speed patch makes the game not start at all for me. (although that might be because I'm using the english version of the game not chinese.)

although the game runs normally without it, and with game version 1.3... I get like 2fps.

Any chance you could post the specs on your cpu/gpu? for anyone who has this game running at a playable fps? my computer is like 4 years old so it's not a big surprise to me it won't run well (wondering how monstrous an upgrade I'd need.)

edit: NEVERMIND patch was in wrong folder, moved patch, now I get 40fps in battle and 150fps on menus, totally playable, sweet.

Whenever I complete a battle or the item world and return to the castle, I find that the fps drops tremendously. (like from 8-10 fps to 1 fps). And apparently I sometimes see an error code in pink which disables audio at times or makes everything crash while in game ( I should mention here that I am using DX 12 since I don't have vulkan support and it seems better than opengl)

On a side note, does the speed patch make a difference? Maybe I have it in the wrong folder or it does not work with the US or EUR version of the game? Some one plz confirm.
