And yes, the first part was about DLC.
Ex defense is when you activate ex mode as a way to break out of an enemy combo. It allows you to perform assists. The game seems to separate this from original Dissidia where ex mode was always ex mode regardless of when you activated it.
Could you like , erm ..do a picture tutorial to describe about the first part? I still couldn't understand what exactly you're trying to say about that part....
