half-playable in r1913 movies are working, when gets to game no character is displayed onscreen (or they are drawn off-screen), same problem with star ocean 2 when going into certain houses

yeah no character displays but whats weird is in this one spot the character pops up (then disappears again when you move away)
sometimes the character falls through the floor since you loose control :p

I wanted to see what would happen if I could get to the next area (world map), so I just played invisible for abit, I made past the the first few battles, but then it kept crashing with out of memory errors
attached savegame for anyone else who want to try, all you have to do is walk up to initiate the scene then walk down to get into the fight :p
(notice in the screenshots that some of the graphics and text are positioned wrong, mostly ss 3 and 4)

finally made it out of the town after a few trys, the world map is just a black screen, I cant tell if its frozen or just hidden, I can hear the bgm audio though (infolog - logtry3) http://www.megavideo.com/?v=E6KKGVLK

After the changes in sceDisplay for the frame buffer set/get methods, have you tried running this game with all options off (except for Media Engine, and probably Sonic Stage, since those have nothing to do with the GE bug I suspect that may be affecting this one), hyakki?
