Hey guys I managed to get the game running. Problem is when any attack animation starts JPCSP seems to pause the game. It doesn't really hang just stops the game at current screen. I get this error in logger

I'm using rev 2078 with settings from first post of this thread plus JPCSP Launcher with MaxPermSize enabled.

Couldn't find edit option.
I tried rev 2083 and it seems that first battle animation since starting game will slow down to 1fps for a minute or so and then proceed with normal speed. Subsequent battle animation run normally although I have no idea why.

Yeah it seems that something like that only happens on first starting emulator ever. On subsequent runs there's no problem. It's rather strange.

for me each unit has square black/white, also on menu battle/intermission.
utena000,for ATI driver i always up to date(i'm using 11.3)on 7 Ultimate 64bit.
i play Jpcsp on 7 because driver ATI up to date & no error.
on XP driver ATI that not error 10.10,also my XP seem error & SonicStage too so that i may reinstall it again.
for video setting check the last 2 option,i think don't work.
but i'll try it later.
i do not have icon black and white, but it has a black square around the icon
i know it is not the correct display and the menu battle/intermission, the text that not selected is not display correct, feel like missing some color
i am using xp with geforce, i think the problem is similar

I'm having this problem.
My setting seem to be perfect. FPS is not TOO bad, but menus and intermission menu is pretty darn slow. Only main problem is when animation comes in for the main character. It automatically freezes the game. Im on stage 3, although when other units go in for animation, its perfectly fine. Only problems i have is the main characters animation freezing, graphical problems, and slow menu fps. Everything else is in good condition. This is what settings i used:
Video: Only GE graphics,use vertex cache,use shaders,enable GE screen to textures instead of memory,Enable dynamic shader generation (AMD/ATI)
Memory: ignore invalid memory acess,igonore unmapped imports
Media: use media engine (only 32bit),decode audio files with sonic stage
By the way, what Jpcsp is the best for this right now?

LucnyDauphin,menu & intermission still slow also there's graphic issue so there's nothing you can do right now.just wait for latest rev until it can be fixed.
try disable/uncheck all option on Video setting.
on memory disable/uncheck ignore invalid memory acess,only enable/check igonore unmapped imports.
for the main character when freezing just wait a few second/minute because Jpcsp still process for decrypt PGD files after that it will work.

Will it improve performance if I decrypt the PGD files using my PSP first?

It will improve performance vs first time decoding. But it usually decodes fast enough where the 2 second freeze doesn't matter.
