This is incredibly annoying... Happened with one of those many small commits with misc fixes recently.

First of all, just signed up today. You guys are awesome. I REALLY hope I can get some experience during my four years in college so I could possibly help you guys out at some point in time later on. You guys...Just...It's awesome man. Words don't do this community justice.
Second off, and I'll assume I'm not asking this in the wrong section, ya know, faq support and all, but will running RCPS3 require my PS3 to have CFW or anything? I've read a few posts mentioning it, but is CFW a requirement, like I might need to grab some files or something?
Again, sorry if wrong section, and again, congrats to you guys. If I had an tech know-how at the moment I'd ask how I could help. Hopefully that may change in the future.

HLE as in high-level emulation? So if Dolphin's anything to go by, I assume the files will be built and coded for the emulator just like the HLE plugin for Dolphin is, if I'm grasping this correctly? If this is indeed the case, that's great.

Depends on the game. Some programs load font files, you could dump the real ones from the PS3 OS, or just use any font and rename. Really, the only other thing I can think of is that some games load are \dev_flash\sys\external\flashMP3.PIC and flashATRAC.pic which I guess are codec files or something like that. I think you need custom firmware to get these, but there might be other ways...
Still, 9/10 games don't load any system files at all it seems.
And like Ekaseo said, this is a HLE emulator, you don't need a full BIOS dump or anything like that.

This puts my mind at ease. Chances are I'd never stumble across one of those games that'd require PS3 files anyway. Thank you for the answer!!

The correct way is to buy them from a retailer, or from someone who owns them on the medium they're distributed in or licensed for (some cheap, used games can go for less than 2 figures online). Next, dump the disc images on to your computer (multiple ways to do this). If it's a digital download to your PS3 you'll need to transfer them from the PS3's hard drive or such to whatever medium you wish. Since this is not exactly "user friendly" (e.g. you can't just pop your PS3 disc into your Blu-ray drive and "boom": PS3 games load and play) this approach will not be easiest for everyone (at least for now). In the future someone will probably work on mounting the discs and loading the games from them, making the process extremely easy with dynamic decryption.
