It doesn't even seem too difficult... or perhaps hes painting a very basic painting of how it works. Does anyone who knows more want to give me some pointers? Why do people always say dynarecs are so hard to write?

Reading a 100 ft overview of something and actually doing it are very, very different things.

Sure, it sounds easy enough to fly a plane. Just steer and hit some flashing buttons. But you actually need to go through tons of training to be able to fly one with any real chance.

Hehe i looked at the latest of the ppurecompiler, and you're right, it is indeed quite complex. If i was unemployed, i would LOVE to dive into this, but with a full time job I barely have enough time as it is Sad

Well same here my time is to make games with a small game studio. But i still manage to try out and play the emulator time to time.

simply set resolution to lowest, turn write color/depth buffers off set log to nothing. that should be it ( of course set core to recompiler ). this is for performance, the higher the resolution is, the slower the emu will work

Sonic CD 35-55 fps sometimes 60 fps. Some dips on 3D parts of game to 13-20 fps then after it goes back to normal. Loading and menu and ect is pretty damn fast. This was running at 720p at v-sync i do get higher without off and lower res but now i can enjoy game at this res.
