The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel [BLUS31572]
#81
I'm sorry to say something a bit off-topic, but I think it's relevant in case someone doesn't know. Do you players know that Cold Steel games are getting released on PC this summer? PC ports are going to work perfectly, and if you wanted to emulate them for superior graphics, the ports will have it anyway. Additional voice acting will be present, too, so for all intents and purposes, it's better to buy PC ports than emulate.

I tried that too, but its just like making it invisible. I mean after some time the game would still freeze, you just won't know when because you won't hear the sound when it disappears before it actually freezes.

But I think I have found a way to stop both the sound loss and freezing! I put in SPU decoder to fast while keeping PPU to recompiler. So far I was playing for an hour straight and no sound loss or freezing. The sound is a tinsy bit chappy but I that's so much more better. I'll still be testing it out in the next few days so let me get back to you to be sure.

Here's a question about saves. I found a few save files online, but whenever I tried inputting them on the dev_hdd0 folder and loading them, it always says that it needs to download content. Any idea on this?

This was the build that I was using.
https://ci.appveyor.com/project/rpcs3/rp.../artifacts

Is that a DLC file? Is it possible to add them without having to download?

Yes you can add dlc, if you have the dlc files.

anyway
my game version is BLUS31572 from ps3 disk but
game install to NPUB31759_INSTALL
dlc files are for version NPUB31759.

so how can I use the dlc?
what is the right location for dlc?

My game version is the same and install version too. I have no clue actually. I was equally stomped on that as I had thought that you initially had to download DLC on the PSN network or something. But if I had to guess then maybe... copy the DLC files on the install data...?

Where did you get your DLC? You happen to have a link? I only ever used DLC once before and that's on a PC game.

Is that a website? How big are the files? If you happen to get it working please let me know. I would love to try it out myself.

I installed that file, and this is what I got (shown in attachment).

What I did:
  • [DELETED]
  • I'll update it later if I find the proper and correct way.

But, I think that isn't the proper way to do it, and it seems some DLC contents are missing or aren't included in that *.pkg file.
