The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II [BLUS31597]

You are referring to the speed, right? Yeah. That's pretty much my only remaining problem now. It's the same with the first Cold Steel game, so yeah hopefully some kind of speed hack that would get the game to at least 15-20FPS would be nice. On the bright side, you once said that this game can never run at all because of my crappy intel but then I found out that was only because my game was corrupted.

The save file issue is there too, but it would be useless if the game runs slow.

It runs at full speed 30 fps on your CPU, just the buggy Intel driver that causes all sorts of problems. Actually this PR may fix it: https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/pull/2823

So LLVM + OpenGL + Write color buffers + GPU texture scaling with that once it's built.

Save/load works AFAIK, I mean people have beaten this game in RPCS3 already.
Asus N55SF, i7-2670QM (~2,8 ghz under typical load), GeForce GT 555M (only OpenGL)

So being so clueless... again, but what's a PR? and is this a build? If it is then do I download this here?

EDIT: Hi. I finally got both games working. I followed this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3QyryYzyOs
and used the old build here with the sandybridge thing
https://ci.appveyor.com/project/kd-11/rp.../artifacts

OpenGL was still working here and I didn't even need to check the "Write Buffers" bit. Both games are going at 8-14 FPS now which is playable already for me. Thanks for all the help! I always thought that it was impossible but that was a few weeks ago XD.

The save/load bit was still a minor problem though. Yes it does work. But its just one file though and you can't really choose a slot.

You can download builds on https://rpcs3.net/builds
Never use old builds unless it doesn't work on latest

okay. ThanksSmile I just posted on the Cold Steel 1 thread. I'm trying that first, but as far as I've noticed all my problems and concerns here are pretty much the same there.

I had to bump this thread as I have a question. I've been trying to get save files from gamefaqs. If I understand it right
NPUB31836_SAVE255 is always the system data, which should go hand in hand with the save data. So everytime I put together with the save data that I get from gamefaqs, this error always comes up when I try to load the file.
F {PPU[0x1000000] Thread (main_thread) [0x0029d854]} MEM: Access violation reading location 0x534

It is my understanding that any system data can go with the save files. Am I missing something?

I don't know if you are trying to import a save file from CS1, but that worked fine for me. I just copied and pasted the CS1 save folder and changed the name with the code number of CS2.

Btw, the only major problem I am facing with this game is that the frame rate is way lower than with the first game. :S If someone knows any workaround, please share.

Besides that, the textures keep failing like in the first one, and just rare freezes.

By importing, you mean using the clear save from 1 into 2? Well I have been doing every single combination. (I keep trying to get a clear save file from both the 1st and 2nd game from gamefaqs) simply because I want to get the costumes without having to finish the game.

NOW I have two main issues. Sometimes when I try loading a file on the first game, it says the "DLC has not been installed and save file can not be loaded." I did get a DLC from 1st and the costumes are there, but every other costume other than the casual clothes doesn't change the character appearance and just goes into the box after I reload my save file.

For the second game, I tried loading the save files I got from gamefaqs (even changing the folder name to match my own) and I think I even got the necessary DLC, but I either get this error when I load the file
F {PPU[0x1000000] Thread (main_thread) [0x0029d854]} MEM: Access violation reading location 0x534

or the file loads but just returns to the title screen. How did it work for you? What build rpcs3 did you use? and you do what to the save file?

With Nekotekina's libfiber update and PPU LLVM rewrite, the "sandybridge" workaround is no longer required.
I still have an issue with the frame rate though. It is 25-30 at the beginning of the game but from the first town onwards, it massively drops to 5-10 fps. Sometimes it even drops to 1fps.
Well, I guess i'm gonna play the waiting game again.

Try different renderers, opengl or vulkan, and with gpu texture scaling. Make sure "write color buffers" is off.
