Xlink Kai support
#1
Already opened an issue of request here : https://github.com/jpcsp/jpcsp/issues/453
Because JPCSP supports LLE and ad-hoc a bit better then PPSSPP while the latter only supports pro-online.
I will be interested to know how to do it if it's possible already.

Currently ProOnline is supported for online adhoc play.
I was not able to find any technical documentation on the protocol used by XLink Kai. Also, I don't know if they are open for anyone else using their online services...
Always include a complete log file at INFO level in your reports. Thanks! How to post a log

Maybe this helps: https://github.com/sweetwxh/TwingHotLink
This is a software that developed for PSP remote connection (similar to Xlink Kai and mhptunnel)

Are many PSP players are using XLink Kai? Can you see how many are currently online?

In the XLink forum, the last post in the PSP Community is from April 2020... not sure if this is still much alive...

It's way more active then ProOnline in my opinion because most if not all the console players play there (ProOnline supports less games on console).
Also there is a whole discord server dedicated for it.
In the github issue I also gave some plugins and a another github repo that might help with this.
And yeah the Xlink Kai maintainer wants emulator users to use its service : https://twitter.com/TXcrunchbite/status/...36128?s=20 he even made a way for them to connect.
Hopefully if this works out it may pave the way for PPSSPP to get support too.

CrunchBite left a link in his Dolphin implementation:
https://www.teamxlink.co.uk/wiki/DDS_Protocol
I need to try it out as it seems to implement the whole adhoc protocol at a lower level than ProOnline.

Well currently I only got 2 players on a lobby you can see here :
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/6...nknown.png
You can only see it if you are logged in xlink kai.https://ibb.co/6XsBds9
It would have been more active on weekends and holidays and such.
I hope you could think about implementing it in JPCSP thanks.
EDIT : Here another lobby on a different game on Xlink Kai https://ibb.co/6XsBds9

So I guess there is a lack of interest because no enough players?
Can I get an answer?
Again sometimes there are bigger lobbies of 4 players and up sometimes its small amount.
Also by using xlink kai we could play games online that couldnt work on pro online like Ratchet And Clank Size Matters and maybe Resistance (Didn't try that one).
While I am it is there a way to get this emulator to be faster on AMD GPUs on Windows? Or I have to use Linux each time because it's faster there for use.

I wanted to try it out with my own PSP, but each time I've connected, I was alone. As there is no documentation and no source code available, the only way is to try to guess what it is doing by observing how it works with a real PSP. But alone, it is not really possible.

I talked to Xlink Kai maintainer about having a page that details who is online and is playing in any given time.
He said it's on his TODO list...
Yeah the source code for the plugin that xlink kai uses is gone for now such a shame.
