Revision 2481/2482 broke the game. Use r2480 to play the game.
In logger>info there are plenty of these errors:
49007 [GUI] WARN ge - ... and this invalid Texture mipmap will be used with mipmap_mode=1, mipmap_bias=1
49007 [GUI] WARN ge - Texture mipmap with invalid dimension at level 1: (512x512)@0x041C0BA0 -> (512x512)@0x041C0BA0
I really appreciate the diligence of the people in this thread.
I've tried all sorts of configurations, different versions of jcpcsp, and different methods of loading/saving.
Still I can't, for the life of me, figure out anything to sucessfully get past the first castle battle. Without fail, it freezes at the guy wanting to jump across the water.
For us poor souls such as myself, do you think somebody could be kind enough to upload a save game with these blasted battles completed? Feel free to send a pm or email savagelove7 at gmail

Using the newer build (2498) with all the Java utilities the game runs great in every single aspect (FPS, Music, Text), but it hangs out here just after Guildus speaks about jumping:
And after a few seconds, the music hangs, and a loading icon appears in the lower right side and it never stops... I'm missing something?
Well, thanks Roryn, I'll try that save. But, the fact about that scene, is that no matter how many times I restarted the game from the beginning, it always happened in the same place.
I think it works in every battle dialog, but am not sure. Worth trying.
Also, in battles, sometimes the AI get stuck again. Someone mentioned that it happens because you place your character looking at another diretion. I tried 3 battles agaisnt 14+ enemies each, without changing looking direction and had none AI freeze. Not sure if i was just lucky, but the battles were long.
If you're having a lot o freezes, you should try this.
