I managed to run FFCC with sound but its extremely laggy. I am pretty sure it laggs because of the sound cause it didnt show any sign of lagging without sound. Any advice would be appreciated.
My PC specs:
Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.20Ghz
2GB DDR3 RAM
Asus P7H55D motherboard
Ati Radeon HD 5500 series Graphics Card (1GB,DX11,Shader Pixel 5.0)
Realtek High Definition Onboard Audio

your computer needs more RAM only i think as what hyakki said... java likes tht
your graphics and i5 processor is great though (i like ATI more than Nvidia for performance and windows experience agrees with me)

No, I am pretty sure i dont need any more RAM. My pc runs games like Starcraft II Wings of Liberty & Dragon Age Origins at full 60 fps, i can also play huge iso games like WWE Raw vs Smackdown 2011 on PCX2 without lags -the RAM is probably not the issue. Is there a way to decode the audio & again repack it to form the iso? maybe this will solve the problem.
Btw, i also prefer ati over Nvidia- not only for the huge price difference but for performance issues as well.

could u go to task manager once you have played for around 15 mins on JPCSP and check how much memory it is consuming... DDR3 are really great hence your game works but i think Java wants quantity over quality
i could be wrong cuz i know nothing about java except mentioning what hyakki once said

Seriously, unless you shutdown every service and other application on your computer and use an old Windows 7, you don't have enough RAM to play these games with only 2GB of memory.
Gaming computer should have at least 4GB of memory and a 64 bit OS, even if they only run 32bit software.
Concerning Jpcsp, it's different from native games or emulators like Pcsx2. They have a number of techniques to reduce the memory footprint we can't just do in Java. So yes, using it requires some memory.

I am running Windows XP 32bit and I am pretty sure that JPCSP has all the ram it needs. Btw, I know a lot about lagging since my previous sytem ran on Intel Onboard graphics and i do not think this is the same. The watched the opening itro and i think the graphics is excellent & does not show any sign of lags. But the sound is just horrible, it sounds kind of like the way when you listen to music on youtube while its buffering on a very slow ISP.
