Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - ULUS10336
You might need more ram everyone should have 4gb nowadays java uses a virtual machine meaning it must use ram, The more ram it has the better for example if you have 2gb of ram and the java -xmx value is at 1024m (default) Java must allocate that much ram, that leaves 1 gig or less for the system (windows 7, open applications, drivers ..etc)
not much room to work with, the skipping sounds could be the system swapping memory to the system pagefile to keep up with the memory demands.

also what sounds are you talking about sound effects like the menus, walking, battle sounds, background music, video audio, voices ..etc?

I am talking about the music of the opening intro. I seriously dont get it. If turn of my "speaker" nothing seems wrong. The graphics output is very smooth and high quality. Its only the sound which is awrful.
Btw, has anyone managed to FFCC on jcsp "the way it is meant to be played". If so, posting the configurations will be helpful.

Don't use the shaders with an ATI cards. ATI drivers sucks, there are lots of bugs in them and we're discovering them little by little.

I'm running v0.6 1843 on windows 7 32bit and I can't seem to start the game. After I click run, it shows the Square Enix logo, followed by "Final Fantasy VII 10th anniversary" and then it starts over. It loops forever and doesn't display any error. Can you help?

There is just not end to problemssAngry. The same thing is now happening to me but it restarts at the end of the intro movie--- the point where "crisis core" shows up on the screen

Hm? Could you please be more specific with this issue?

I actually own several versions of this game and I'm now in position to do several extensive performance tests. Hopefully this will help covering some common bugs.
I'll try testing EUR, USA and JPN versions of regular "Crisis Core" and the "10th Anniversary" version under Windows XP, Vista and 7 with both high end NVIDIA and ATI cards.
I'm about to commit some big changes I've been working on for some days now, and I would appreciate if you could all help me gathering different test runs for each version-system combination you may have, after that.
Thanks in advance! Smile
