This seems to be an occasional issue of the dreaded black screen boot up but it seems everyone has different problems and need different solutions. I installed the firmware and everything, but I'm not sure what else I haven't done.

Acer Nitro 5
Intel® Core™ i5-8300H CPU @2.30GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB
System type : 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor
