SonicStage wasnt the problem since the BGM are of decent volume level

What's the version of your OS?
Windows 7/2008/Vista has a new feature that allows you to adjust the volume level of every application separately, by using the Volume Mixer utility that comes with Windows.

I cant believe I didnt notice that slider at the bottom of the mixer and Soundforge is at the right hidden away from my sight
