Gungnir (US) - ULUS10592
#1
Test on r2552 and r2570

Use: Use Media Engine, Decode audio file with SonicStage

Game is playable until the cutscene where you are executed in scene 3 and is supposed to be rescued and get the Gungnir, then the game stops working, with the screen stops at the mosiac picture of...something, most probably the beginning of the cutscene itself.

Edit: setting added: User vertex cache, Use shaders (experimental), Enable saving GE screen, Enable decoding of indexed texture, and Disable optimized VertexInfo, now it's working 100% and even solve the various graphical weirdness that happens when you place unit, battle report, etc.

This should be moved to playable section, as the game has no game breaking bug. But, there is a particular bug where if you enable saving GE to texture, some transition screen will have massive slowdown (talking about going from 30 FPS to 2), it's not as apparent if you disable saving GE to texture but it's still noticeably slow down a little.

Here's the log for this game, hopefully there's some cue to help solve this problem.

The game work flawlessly (i just finished it), a part some minor slowdown when :

> At the start of the game when loading scene; but disappears after just one scene of more (good memory cache ?)

note : good work to the jcpsp developpers, i was in awe when i tried Gungnir !

Followed this setting on r2860. No major problems found. Finished this game.
Sometimes, felt little choppy, but rarely.

I followed all the instructions, and the game works properly, all but the music. There are sound effects, but no music at all (not in the game nor in the initial cinematic).

I have the Atrac3Plus tool and SoundForge enabled, but still get no change...(after following the instructions on this thread: http://www.emunewz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=5293)

Anyone got any idea what might be the problem...

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!

I am still "forever" stuck after losing the battle in the 3th scene.
I have tried past revisions such as r5270, r2860, and the latest with no avail.
Tried all posted settings on this thread and the japanese thread of this game.

I also checked both memory boxes sicne I couldn't past without it.

I have yet to see a youtube video of anyone passing this scene.

Basically, unplayable for me right now...Sad
